Visa Run Orchestra presents “Parade 16Ø56” and “Pawai 16Ø56”, two complementary versions of a new release currently available exclusively on YouTube. The official release on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes and all major digital platforms is scheduled for August 12, 2026.
Behind the project is Anthony Morabito, a writer and creative director whose background spans cinema, art, branding and hospitality. Visa Run Orchestra marks his return to a long-held ambition: bringing original songs and interconnected stories to life.
Born in Bali, Visa Run Orchestra is a narrative-pop act in which each song functions as a scene within a larger musical universe. Through comedy, satire and cinematic storytelling, the project explores cultural encounters, identities in transit and the paradoxes of building a new life far from one’s place of origin.
“Parade 16Ø56”: When Naming Becomes Celebration
The title refers to the 16,056 Indonesian island names standardized through the United Nations Group of Experts on Geographical Names in 2017. That year, the submission of 2,590 additional island names brought Indonesia’s recognized gazetteer to this symbolic figure.
Rather than treating 16,056 as a cold geographical statistic, “Parade 16Ø56” transforms it into an act of collective recognition. Naming an island means acknowledging its existence, its place and its belonging within the archipelago.
The slashed zero in 16Ø56 turns the number into a visual code, inviting listeners to look beyond the figure and discover the historical and symbolic meaning it contains.
Two Languages, One Procession
The release unfolds through two complementary interpretations. “Parade 16Ø56” is sung in English and takes the form of a bright civic anthem, while “Pawai 16Ø56” carries the same spirit into Indonesian through a more distinctly Nusantara-inspired procession.
Across the songs, Sumatra brings its drums, Java steps forward, Sulawesi turns towards the sun, Kalimantan breathes green, Papua welcomes the dawn, Bali rings its bells, Maluku sings and Nusa Tenggara carries salt and flame.
Together, these regions form an imagined parade across the archipelago. Each retains its own voice, rhythm and identity while contributing to a shared movement, echoing Indonesia’s principle of unity in diversity.
Released in the weeks leading up to Indonesia’s Independence Day, the project celebrates not only the country’s geography, but also the many cultures, languages and histories held within it.
Beyond Technology: Storytelling with Purpose
For Morabito, technology does not replace human creativity. The concepts, lyrics, narratives and artistic direction behind Visa Run Orchestra are entirely human-created, while AI-assisted production is used as a tool to interpret and bring these compositions to life.
Every release begins with an idea, a character, a situation or a cultural observation. Technology enables the project to explore different musical forms, but the common thread remains the same: storytelling, intention and a coherent artistic world.
An Expanding Musical Universe
With “Parade 16Ø56” and “Pawai 16Ø56”, Visa Run Orchestra reinforces its singular proposition: a fusion of pop, musical theatre, comedy and cultural chronicle.
