“A full-throttle journey with your heart on the accelerator.”
Dark/Alternative Rock from Melbourne, Australia
Mish Molotov, musician and composer based in Melbourne, Australia, has just released her latest single, “Revitude”—an intense instrumental piece that fuses dark alternative rock with electronic textures, drawing inspiration from bands like Orgy, Nirvana, early Linkin Park, and Evanescence.
Released on April 25, 2026, the track is now available on all digital platforms. After years of delays, personal loss, and renewed determination, “Revitude” is a song that refused to stay buried.

Revitude – The Essence and Story Behind the Song
In the words of Mish Molotov:
I started this project in 2020, the song has had many iterations but got put on the backburner over many years as I initially wanted to have a music video to go with it.
The name ‘Revitude’ comes from a moment in my youth, doing ‘revs’ in the car (I will come back to this later).
This is obviously an instrumental which on the downside, is difficult to come up with concepts for music videos, however on the upside, the concept could be anything!
The first idea for a music video (in 2021) had a storyline based on getting the parkour community (who were a big part of my life at the time) involved. It was going to be a parody video titled ‘Parkour Farty’. There was interest but not enough to follow through with it, so it fell through with only the unmanifested potential sitting in the storyline created.
The next idea for a music video came in 2024, where I decided to go back to the origins of the title & feeling behind the song and aimed for a full blown animation featuring characters of; myself, and a once very close friend of mine (in my adolescence/early adulthood), to which we later had a falling out. Our friendship was dramatic at times however there was a certain compatibility (that only works when both parties continue to play those roles) that had for the most part worked for us. Then a few years later she passed away due to a long-standing chronic illness.
I still reminisce on the very, many good times with her, she still sometimes shows up in my dreams (it always feels real when she does) only to wake up confused with a feeling of longing & melancholy.
So the title of this song ‘Revitude’ is based on a reckless antic between her & I…. where one night in our late teens after metal night at the pub, we impulsively thought it would be a good idea to drive home on the causeway with her lying facedown and clinging onto the bonnet of my first car (beat up, manual Toyota Camry) whilst topping the allowable speed limits at the time. With her signatory black trench coat flailing in the wind, and me determinedly focused to remain on course whilst we both laughed (hers maniacal, mine excited with disbelief), glancing at each other through the windscreen, her with that crazy look in her eyes but also something else deeper (that we both knew, but I cannot describe).
Why did we do it? I don’t know, we were both psychologically damaged juveniles who seemed to have a reckless, unacknowledged deathwish perhaps. But one thing I know for certain…she trusted me behind that wheel… I trusted her not to let go… It was thrilling and sealed a bond in that moment that I had never experienced with anyone.
Yes, in retrospect, it was absolutely stupid and dangerous and I would deter anyone from doing something so idiotic… however, it happened. It is a cherished memory that I will fondly hold on to for this lifetime.
Going back to the music video, I came up with a segmented chapter by chapter time-synched storyline to be made into an animation (little did I know that my budget constraints were realistically going to be nowhere near what was actually required to deliver a project in a reasonable timeframe), regardless I found a willing overseas animator and made a down-payment. We took time over the phone on whatsapp, conceptualising and going over the details, including character & scene formation. He sent me through drawings/art (one of which ended up being the coverart for this song) which I was very pleased with. Unfortunately life got in the way on his end, where the deadline kept getting pushed back. After a year, I remained patient & understanding whilst working on other projects. After 2 years he was eventually left without a computer after some serious life events that stacked up around the same time. His mental & physical faculties had taken a beating & wasn’t able to provide me with anything indicating the progress of the video.
I remained sympathetic but also realised I was not going to get my animated music video and decided I didn’t want to release the track anymore. Plus I had issues with the algorithm attached to my music I had already released that took some time & effort to correct it to reflect my preferred genre (metal/rock), so I was worried about messing that up again.
However, this year I got hit by some difficult events myself and noticed my productivity had slipped, then with some brainstorming with Chatgpt regarding maintaining the algorithm, I decided to release the track without a music video, but make it more guitar heavy. So I added extra guitar parts so that it would be heard throughout the entire song (as opposed to just some parts per previous iterations). This was done strategically, as this song is not one that I want to highlight as being my main genre. Then once fully mixed with changes applied & remastered with a better trained ear (seeing as its been over 5 years since when I first started producing it and I’ve produced many tracks since!), the track was released.
To wrap it up, this song was not really meant to be in the end, but somehow it worked out.
The name ‘Revitude’ is a combination of ‘revs’ (as in revving the car) and ‘attitude’, it represents the feeling of shared ‘freedom, bliss & high energy’, it is a symbol of rebellion, and a big ‘fuck you’ to the world (from damaged delinquent frames of mind).

Revitude • Mish Molotov • Indie Valley Music Review
“Revitude” has no lyrics—but it speaks straight to the soul. It’s an instrumental piece charged with history, grief, complicity, and youthful rebellion. More than a song, it’s a high-speed journey of broken souls racing together—exactly as its sound suggests: introspective, dark, existential, yet brimming with vitality and attitude.
The track opens instantly: layers of ethereal, immersive synths create a dark, vibrant atmosphere—like an engine roaring to life. It’s a sudden, visceral immersion.
At 0:02, the first guitar riffs enter: wide, enveloping distortion, expertly panned in stereo, with a clear dark alt-rock identity. It doesn’t overwhelm; instead, it delivers attitude without drowning the mix. It intertwines with synthetic arrangements that weave a spatial, three-dimensional, experimental landscape.
At 0:15, the electronic drums burst in: broad, present, with solid dynamic range. Their groove—close to electro house—provides a vibrant rhythmic foundation, while a repetitive yet melodic guitar line takes center stage. Synthetic layers keep unfolding unpredictably, yet in perfect harmony.
At 0:30, an interlude lets the synths dominate, while the guitar shifts into a more progressive role, playing off-beat riffs that reinforce the track’s bold, experimental nature.
At 0:42, the first guitar solo erupts: energetic, melodic, raw, piercing—a performance full of rebellion and technical command, sustained until 1:32 over a steady beat and atmospheric layers.
Then—a sharp stop.
And at 1:39, the main rhythm returns with force, accompanied by airy, ambient, immersive synths. The signature guitar melody reappears, and the synths build an ascending sonic climax. An ethereal pad with noise textures adds emotional depth.
At 2:10, a transition begins: solos and synthetic arrangements intertwine in a subtle crescendo. Bubbling effects, expertly panned, create a sense of three-dimensional motion.
At 2:20, the guitar returns in a higher register, fresher, brighter—as if the journey accelerates even further.
And at 2:27, the rhythm explodes: electronic drums, guitar, and synth layers converge into a vibrant, dark, and surprisingly danceable climax. Here, electro dark wave and alternative rock fuse perfectly—thunderous, rhythmic, charged with youthful energy and cathartic release.
This state of ecstasy holds until 3:33, when the guitar fades. Only atmospheric synths remain, dissolving gracefully, accompanied by minimal electronic hi-hats until the final second at 3:47.
“Revitude” is, without a doubt, a phoenix song: born from pain, shelved for years, nearly forgotten—and finally reborn as pure, dark, resilient energy.
