“This track was designed so that I could blend the unique atmospheric ideas and production techniques that have become my signature sound with a vocal presence that allows me to have fun with the lyrical theme of crashing my ex’s wedding and asking them back into my life.
I intentionally created intimate vocals that communicated more nuanced emotions than the story. We’ve all heard songs where the broken-hearted ex is devastated. I wanted to make this story of heartbreak sound more interesting and unique than other songs that touch on the same subject.
I am not saying that this happened. But my imagination is a very interesting thing, and I would like to think if this did happen to me, I could handle it with the emotional maturity of the character in the song.”

“WELCOME TO MY HOME” is, without a doubt, a masterful example of alternative pop infused with synth pop and electro pop sensibilities. The song merges an atmospheric, immersive, ethereal, and cinematic production with vibrant, emotive, and energetic lyrics that invite introspection. It transforms an intimate feeling into a universally relatable anthem—captivating, human, and deeply resonant.
At 115 BPM and in F minor, the track opens with a spatial synth loop, evoking the sensation of floating through cosmic silence. A subtle tremolo and three-dimensional percussion—featuring a deep, slightly reverberant kick, a dynamic snare, and tribal-style toms playing off the beat—create a rhythmic foundation that feels both organic and electronic.
At 0:08, Annie Liang’s voice enters: whispered, soft, airy, with a uniquely captivating tone that caresses the ear. Panned in stereo and sitting just above the instrumental, it guides the narrative with grace. Her delivery is organic, enhanced by reverb that adds depth without sacrificing intimacy.
