Written just two weeks after a farewell born from grief, the song is not a lament, but an act of love: an intimate message where Joe shares what he always wanted to tell her.

““I wrote it two weeks after my sister’s passing—as a farewell, but also to tell her things I’ve always wanted—and still want—to say before time runs out: That you’re okay, that you’re kind, that you’re loved.”
With acoustic guitars, mandolin, and a voice that feels like that of a lifelong friend, “Farewell” stands as the centerpiece of his upcoming album, set for release on November 7, 2025.

After 15 years in San José, California —where he released two albums and a single via Rowena Records— Joe returned home to New Jersey in 2024. There, among the pines of the Garden State Parkway and childhood memories, his creative drive reignited with renewed strength.
Inspired by legends like Jim Croce, John Hiatt, Rodney Crowell, Van Morrison, and Bruce Springsteen, Joe has forged a sound that honors the American folk tradition while speaking in his own voice —intimate, reflective, sometimes protest-driven, always human. In recent years, his songs have explored not only everyday struggles, but also universal themes: love, loss, hope, and memory.
